Snow...mainly in the morning. Total snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Highs in the mid 30s. North winds around 5 mph... increasing to around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow 90 percent.

THE FARMER'S DAUGHTER - Homemade mozzarella, sauces, pestos, stuffed Focaccia, desserts and horseradish pickled beets and pickled organic cucumbers.

SERINDIPITEA-Variety of hand-blended loose leaf teas, all natural dip mixes, and all natural dry rubs, produced in Connelly, NY with love.

    February finds a few flurries and a flourish of freshness

    This Saturday might see a few flurries in the morning, but the freshness that awaits you is guaranteed. Farm fresh food in February is certainly a great deal and having all those goodies inside where its cozy and warm just makes the deal even better.

    So this Saturday from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Gossetts' Farm Market is back inside and the greenhouse is filled with all our vendors favorite foods for your inspection. Come shop with neighbors and friends, get caught up on local events, chat about the winter that is not and all the latest news in our town.

    Don't forget to stop in the nursery to get all your houseplant and seed starting supplies. Now is the time to start planning your spring garden and the nursery can help with expert advice and quality products at a fair price. See you Saturday!

    Outside Market this Saturday!

    As temperatures approach the upper 40's this Saturday, we decided to move the Market outside for a bit of fresh air. Stop on by and catch up with neighbors and friends as you shop for some of the best farm fresh food in town.

    Don't forget to say hi to our latest vendor - All You Knead breads! All you Knead features a full line of fresh baked breads including jalapeno cheddar, cranberry/walnut/raisin/currant, gorgonzola walnut, challah, Irish soda bread, baguettes, ciabatta, whole wheat sour, olive, health, multi-grain and more.  Also, bagels , bialys, croissants, bread sticks, cinnamon buns, rolls and more.  We use locally grown grains from Millbrook, New York.

    Stop in the Nursery to pick up any houseplant supplies you may need and stock up now on our organic seeds. It is never to early to start growing for the spring. Dress up that empty windowsill in your home and watch you future salad grow right before your eyes. See you Saturday!

    A Green Market on a Snowy Saturday

    Gossetts' Farm Market will be open this Saturday, January 21, from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. The weather forecasters are calling for some snow, but our farmers are going to make the trip to South Salem despite the weather. Come shop for the best farm fresh food in town and show your support for their efforts.

    Gaia's Breath Farm will be at the Market with a new sausage; veal with lemon, oregano and herbs as well as fresh Large Black pork. Remember to say hi to our new bread vendor, Meredith's Bread and take a walk through the Nursery to pick up any houseplant supplies and organic seeds. 

    It is never to early to plant, all you need is an empty windowsill or a warm sunny spot in your house. The Nursery has the seed starting kits, soil and all the supplies you need to get some green growing in your home today!

    Farm fresh food, organic seeds, catching up with friends and neighbors while you shop local. Now thats something even a blizzard cant touch! See you Saturday.

    Winter makes a brief return

    It seems that old man winters alarm clock has failed to go off and no one is complaining!  Last Saturday was amazing, almost 60 degrees and the market was as busy as it gets in the spring. But this Saturday old man winter makes a brief appearance and we are all back inside next to the wood burning stove where it is cozy and warm. 

    Come join us as our farmers show an amazing display of winter vegetables and other goods. Gaia's Breath will have some wonderful new sheep, goat and cow cheeses from Dutch Girl Cheese. Gossett Nursery has been busy putting away all the holiday items and the shelves are full of spring items for your home garden and plants that you can buy this Saturday. In fact, Gossett Nursery is having a sale Saturday on all its Miracle Gro products.  Save 20% on all your favorite Miracle Gro items. Give your house plants a little pick me up or just save your discounted Miracle Gro for the spring.  Also we just got in our first shipment of organic seeds! Stock up now, start growing these beauties on your windowsill or greenhouse and they will be ready for the ground in the spring.

    The winter that never was

    50 degrees on January 7? I 'll take it! The first Farmers Market is here today from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Since the weather is gong to be so nice, we are haveing a semi indoor market. Some of our farmers can't get enough of that fresh air, so they will be outside the greenhouse today and the rest inside the greenhouse where you usually find them in January. 14 vendors ready to kick off the New Year with a bang, so come and restock you shelves with the best farm fresh food in town.
